The two new Mallorca books have just been published and are now available for next-day ordering within the UK. They should be at your specialist outdoor retailers by the end of the week, beginning Monday 14 April. We hope that they will be available on the island quickly as well although this can take longer.
Mallorca Sport Climbs covers climbing in the mountains and on the island’s sea cliffs. This edition adds a few new crags, but the main development is the enhanced set of crag photographs that we have added, with most of the crags being re-photographed.
Mallorca Deep Water Soloing takes what was the final chapter of our previous guide and expands it into a tidy little book of its own. It focuses mostly on the east coast DWS crags, although it does cover the rest of the island as well.

The island’s famous big golden pockets on steep overhanging walls of perfect rock are both enticing and intimidating. The splashdowns into the deep, warm blue water of the Mediterranean, followed by sangria and tapas at one of the island’s many bars and restaurants make the place all the more memorable. The height of the routes varies from a bouldery 5m to a terrifying 20m, and grades from 3+ to 9a+ means that there is something here for everyone. Add all this together and it is not hard to see why this has become such a desirable destination.
