The year has ended and we have just made our fourth set of donations to the various bolt funds supported by Rockfax & UKBoltFund.org. This has been a great year and a grand total of £1900 has been donated split between the BMC ACT and North Wales Bolt Fund for the most part, plus some smaller donations from online sales and Point of Sale donations for the other funds.
For the last quarter of 2014 we have donated a total of £370. This is comprised of £67 to the Yorkshire Bolt Fund from sales of Northern Limestone, plus a single one-off donation of £250 to the Gary Gibson Bolt Fund in acknowledgment of some of the work he has been doing recently, plus several smaller donations to the other funds. Point of Sale donations from people supplementing their book orders when purchasing online were £12 for the last quarter.
The donation from the Northern Limestone is from early pre-sales since the book hasn’t yet been published (due 15 January). We will be repeating the same system that we ran for the North Wales Climbs book where £1 from the first 1500 sales, online and trade, is made to the appropriate bolt fund. In this case it will be split between the Yorkshire Bolt Fund and the Cumbria Bolt Fund.
We are also pleased to announce that the Kalymnos Bolt Fund has now joined UKBoltFund.org and is in place to benefit from any future publications we have. We welcome approaches from all bolt funds, from anywhere in Europe covered by a Rockfax guidebook, to get involved. Contact us using this form.
