Peak Limestone – We have added the redeveloped crag of Peter Dale. This beautiful little crag has got a surprising set of technical routes. Another crag to receive a complete overhaul is Lime Kiln Quarry which has become one of the more popular limestone crags this summer with its well-placed pub. There are many other updates including to Moat Buttress and Central Buttress in Water-cum-Jolly.

Peak Bouldering – Dave Parry has added a more complete guide to Doll Tor to the Rockax Digital package. The area has a number of excellent target problems that come into their own in the right conditions.

Sicily – No new crags here but a significant update to the superb Pizzo Monaco pinnacle plus some more minor updates. The routes on the Pizzo Monaco pinnacle were on our target research list for a trip in March 2020 before the guide was published. Sadly Covid put pay to that but we decided to publish the book anyway. Now we have been able to add more details to the routes on this pinnacle and the route L’Abito Non Fa Il Monaco in particular is now well worth looking at.

There were also reports that there had been a lot of fire damage to the crags. It is certainly true that the fires reached the crags above San Vito (they had little impact on the Scogliera crags). There is no real problem reaching all the crags and the vegetation is recovering. Some rock that got very burnt has started to shatter in places but it is only very limited small sections and only the surface skin of the rock.

If you have some of these areas installed on your device then check under the Installed tab. If you haven’t then take a look under the Downloads tab to find the areas.
