The track that connected the village of Giogondas to Lafare is now closed to cars with barriers at either end. This changes the approaches to Rocher du Cayron, Rocher du Grand Travers and Chaine de Gigondas.
Rocher du Cayron
Approach from Gigondas and park on the right where the track is barred. Walk up the track to reach the crag on the left – 6 mins.
Rocher du Grand Travers
Approach from Gigondas and park on the right where the track is barred. Walk up the track to reach the old parking area then branch left to locate the crag on the left – 20 minutes.
Chaine de Gigondas
Continue along the road past Saint Christophe, to a barrier and park here. A 20 minute walk up the track leads to at the flat area. The path to the north face of the Chaine de Gigondas leads up from here.
