The Pic Rouge de Belcaire is a fine granite summit (2657m) which can be gained via excellent multi-pitch routes followed by several easier rope-lengths up the summit ridge. The 360° panorama from the top is sensational and the rock is mostly good. We have included just a tiny sample of what is available up in these mountains. The routes described have equipped belays (bolts and/or pitons). There are bolts in place to protect the climbing where trad gear is not an option, but a full rack of cams, wires and slings will be needed. Also take plenty of water, double ropes, spare clothes and sunscreen.
