There is some decent limestone bouldering in the Furness area, although it is hardly worth making a special trip for. If you are in the region, or in the South West Lakes and looking for a bad weather escape, give it a try. The four venues covered here are very traditional and have been used by Barrow and South Lakes based climbers as evening training venues for aeons. All of the bouldering is on limestone, some of it quarried and some natural, and the bouldering is generally fingery stuff on vertical walls.
