18m. Fine climbing up the right-hand side of the buttress. Pull through the centre of the bulges - beefy and 5c to impossible for the short. Then move right into the base of the thin seam. Climb this then the blanker slab in the same line by lovely face climbing. USER COMMENTS
A superb route - hard bouldery start with a delicate slab to contrast - make sure you tick this one.
How about traversing in from right at HVS 4c? Certainly nicer if you don't have a means of covering that pointed rock under the 5b boulder start.
Can't believe it's only got 2 stars in the guide books. This is one of the very best routes on grit. Superb climbing on a wonderful slab. Even better than the highly rated Dental Slab route to it's left. |
