Red Flag Day
| E5 6a|
<< The Moving Finger < Buster Bloodvessel | Progressions of Power > Gerald's Dilemma >>
Two contrasting pitches, the first technical and the second pumpy and sustained gives this route character.
1) 6a, 12m. A good E3 pitch on its own. Start by a white scoop next to a small thorn bush. Move left to a good flake hold and wires. Move up and right on large undercuts to beneath a square roof. Overcome this on its left-hand side and climb the wall above, thread, to reach easy ground. Move right to the belay of Progressions of Power.
2) 6a, 12m. The compact white wall marked by two threads has a bold and committing start with an immediate sense of exposure. The climbing is superb, technical and pumpy.
