As part of our ongoing program of support to bolting and access in the areas covered by our print and digital guides, Rockfax (UK Climbing Limited) has just made another round of significant donations to multiple bolt funds. These donations come from the sales of our print books and an allocation through the proportionate crag usage on Rockfax Digital.
In the UK this included direct payments to the Dorset BF, Cumbria BF (Lake District), South Wales BF, North Wales BF and the Bristol area which has yet to set up a dedicated bolt fund. This is to support ongoing gear replacement in these areas.
In the rest of Europe we made donations to bolting in El Chorro and we have money allocated for the Trobada d’Escaladors initiative for fundraising in Mallorca.
In total the amount of the donations is just below £4000. We will look at making donations to other areas and UK bolt funds later in the year.
