We have added a dedicated bouldering guide for Almscliff to Rockfax Digital. This is the first of a series of digital-only guides we will add to the Yorkshire Gritstone area over the next few months. Ultimately, the aim is to produce a great new print guidebook to the area.
Dave Parry has done the work and spent ages figuring out all the multitude of additions and variations to the existing guidebook by Alan Cameron-Duff in the year 2000. He has also tried to incorporate many of the additions to UKClimbing made since then. There is also some great information from the Yorkshire Gritstone guidebook published by the YMC.
Some of these problems were previously included in the Almscliff crag information which is part of the Northern England guide. We have updated the Almscliff package in Northern England to exclude these problems to avoid duplicated app entries. As a bonus, we also re-photographed and added many extra routes to the Almscliff route guide package. To make the most of the new additions, and avoid duplicate problems, make sure you update the Almscliff package in Northern England.
