The vast area of Northern Spain has some incredible rock ranging from the dramatic Hermida Gorge and stunning Naranjo de Bulnes in the west, through the crags around Santander and Bilbao and down to Pampolona.

It has often lost out to other more publicised spots like the Costa Blanca, El Chorro and the Barcelona area but offers variety and quality of climbing to match the best of all these locations. There are alpine-style routes, multi-pitch trad and sport, intense caves of hard climbs and long and dramatic slabs.
