The easiest way to access most of the crags
in this book is by car and the approaches
are written assuming you are using one.

Trains
There is a regular service from Sheffield
and Manchester to Grindleford. A long but
pleasant walk leads up the Padley Gorge to
Burbage South, Millstone and Lawrencefield,
or south to Tegness and Froggatt. Some
trains also stop at Bamford station which
again allows a longish walk (1.5 miles)
through the village and on to Bamford Edge.
