During the 1980s Peak Limestone was at the forefront of hard sport
climbing and all the talk was of crags like Raven Tor and Chee Dale.
The magazines and guidebooks of the time naturally focussed on these
top routes and some of the older crags got forgotten and ignored.
The general impression was that Peak limestone was only for those
operating in the higher grades, however there always have been other
places like Aldery Cliff, Harborough, Brassington, Ravensdale and
Wildcat where there are plenty of excellent trad routes in the VS and
