This Clwyd Limestone Rockfax covers virtually all of the sport and trad climbing available in and around the Clwydian hills as well as the very best trad and sport climbs at the outlying Pandy Outcrop, Llanymynech Quarry and Pontesford Rocks. The book builds on the previous Clwyd Limestone Rockfax published in 2005 with many more routes, bigger topos and more crags. It covers a wide grade span in both the trad and sport styles and has something to entice the vast majority of climbers of all abilities.

Even in the relatively short 10 year period since the last edition, guidebook production has moved on apace with larger photo topos, cutting-edge action photography, GPS navigation and QR codes now standard. Our fundamental aim hasn’t changed though and that is that you should never have to turn more than a few pages to first get to the crag, then get to the buttress and finally locate the start of your chosen route. All route descriptions are on the same page as their topo and listed from left-to-right. There are many other features to help choose suitable routes and crags depending on specific weather conditions or your ability level.
