Lierres is a small, sheltered canyon cut into the lower slopes of Mount Faron. Usefully there is an easy slabby section, an area of steep wall climbs and a cave full of desperates. The area is sheltered from the wind though, in the depths of winter, the slabby walls and the cave see precious little sunshine. The enclosed nature of much of the cliff means it is rather slow to dry, after rain there are better cliffs in the area. Many of the easier routes are very polished, an application of Sika to some of the holds has helped reduce the problem - a little.
