TJELDBERGVIKA

Along the coast from the town of Kabelvåg are three small crags around the bay of Tjeldbergvika which have been mainly developed with sport routes. Urdstabben has a nice set of sport routes in a surprisingly quiet setting, but is secluded and hard to find considering it is only a few hundred metres from the main road. Tjeldbergvika consists of a pair of cliffs above the E10 which are easy to reach. They offer some trad routes and a few semi-sport routes in a pleasant south-facing location. The final location is Finnvika - a fine block of glaciated granite which looks like a huge boulder (or a beached whale) and offers a small selection of fine face routes that tend to be delicate and technical.
