POT HOLE QUARRY

('Bryn yr Ardd' Quarry - Garden Hill Quarry)
Pot Hole Quarry is a small venue in an idyllic rural setting; it is a rather retiring little place though it has long been popular with locals. The crag has a good number of trad pitches in the lower and mid grades that make it worth calling in for an evening session, or for grabbing a couple of quick routes for those on the way to or from Snowdonia. The main attraction of the quarry is a long, low wall of solid quarried rock bounded on its left by a prominent corner and laced with finger-cracks. Generally the rock is good quality and the myriad of cracks offer small wire protection on most of the lines. There are many trees on top of the crag that provide convenient belay anchors. The crag can be easily combined with a visit to the more extensive Maeshafn Quarry which is only a five minute drive away.
