BLUE SCAR

A fine shady crag with one magnificent wall which contains some of the best hard trad routes in Yorkshire. The other buttresses have a mixture of sport and trad climbing. The crag faces north east and is pleasantly shady in the Summer although it can be cold at other times. There is a restriction on climbing at Blue Scar at Blue Scar due to nesting Peregrines - NO CLIMBING FROM 1 JAN TO 1 JULY.
