The crag at Port de Sóller is typical of many of the smaller crags in Mallorca - a beautiful location and with a handful of brilliant climbs on some amazing rock formations. In this case the crag is perched well above the sea, surrounded by pine trees and only a brief stroll from the peaceful Nautilus bar terrace overlooking the Med this makes it easy to forget how close it is to the hustle and bustle of the building sites and the town of Port de Sóller itself. The main feature of the crag is the huge central cave which has some excellent test-pieces for those operating in the higher grades. The walls to either side offer much more friendly-angled climbing with some of the best 6a to 6c routes on the island. Most of the better routes involve steep climbing on huge and weird rock formations giving exposure more usually encountered only on steeper pitches. In the past there have been access problems owing to large scale building work above the crag. The building work seems to have ground to a halt over the past few years and at the present time there do not appear to be any problems getting to the crag.
