TROLLERS GILL

Troller's Gill is a pleasant crag set in a remote dry valley, reached by a gentle approach walk through some gorgeous scenery. On the whole the rock is sound and the main wall has loads of great pitches, mainly between 7a and 7c. The climbing is characterised by sustained, fingery and technical climbing linking short blank walls, slim grooves and small square-cut overhangs above an undercut base. The other sport routes in the gorge are not of the quality of those on the Main Wall but offer something different, including some easier routes.
