Adjacent Routes Easy for the grade with sustained and extremely pleasant climbing. There is an intermediate lower-off at the top of the detached pillar. The route continues above this for another 10m on steep ground but with good holds - 6b. USER COMMENTS
Do the lot at 6b, makes a fantastic wild finish to the route, leaving the ledge is the toughest bit. The rest is monkey heaven.
I agree with R, the top is well worth doing. "Steep but with good holds" says it..
Did this one on my first day. These 6a's are very fierce for the grade. But a top quality climb none the less.
Regrettably, I have to report that the magnificent Espantocells is no longer available to be climbed. The monolith on the upper section has broken away. The neighbouring belay (Xell) has also been removed. R.I.P.
The route has been re-equipped and it keeps the same grade. The belay to Xell has not as yet been replaced. |
